FCA trade term means Free Carrier
When is Delivery Completed?
Seller is deemed to have delivered the goods to the carrier or another person nominated by buyer at the seller’s premises or another named place.
Delivery is completed:
(a) If the named place is the seller’s premises, when the goods have been loaded on the means of transport provided by the buyer
(b) In any other case, when the goods are placed at the disposal of the carrier or another person nominated by the buyer on the seller’s means of transport ready for unloading.
When does Buyer Risk and Obligation start?
Buyer assumes all risks and costs associated with delivery of goods to final destination including transportation after delivery to carrier and any customs fees to import the product into a foreign country.
HI,
I am Andrea from Hungary and I watch your video about Incoterms.
Concerning video about FOB you mention that seller can choose FCA to avoid risks in loading the goods in the port.
I agree with this, but my question: in case the seller and buyer choose FCA in the sales contract the seller will fulfil the contract when seller gives the goods to first forwarder, which is the ‘truck’ who deliver the goods to port. (Except when truck owner is the seller itself). Am I right?
